In an era where companies change hands and corporations become faceless, PVC Tech Corp has the distinction of being proudly helmed by its founder and president, Clair Eitel.
A native of the Czech Republic (formerly Czechoslovakia), Clair left Europe in 1962 to move to New Jersey and start a new life. Just a year later, Clair then moved to California to continue his education at El Camino College, Long Beach State and UCLA, eventually earning a BA/MA double degree in both Mathematics and French.
Clair’s original aspiration was to pursue a professorship in academia. In the course of studying, he was introduced to the vinyl industry when he started working part time for K.C. Products in 1964. This eventually turned into a full time position and encouraged by his success at K.C., Clair decided to focus on business and the plastics industry instead.
By 1974, Clair left K.C. Products to join Goss Plastic Film Corp and began to build the business into one of the largest PVC film distributors in the US, expanding Goss into three locations as well as securing rights for the exclusive sales and marketing representation for VKW-Staufen (ICI/EVC) of Germany.
In the meantime, Clair continued his studies and in 1981, achieved his Executive Master of Business Degree (EMBA) from UCLA. The following year he was named President and CEO at Goss Plastic Film Corp, a position he held for five years.
In 1987, Clair decided to pursue other endeavors and sold his interest in Goss Plastic to a private investment group. This move eventually led to the formation of PVC Tech Corp in 1988.
Now, with over 45 years in the industry, Clair’s experience forms the back bone of our company, allowing us to create unique film solutions for a variety of uses and applications. As the architect and builder of our company, his driving sense of quality and his ideals for providing the best materials at the best price has time after time gained customer loyalty and allowed us to forge the PVC Tech difference.
